MIDI EVENT LIST EDITING not working

Post by Guitar Gaz »

I use DP 9.52 for MIDI editing - but recently I seem to have lost the MIDI event editing list - no information is showing up in the Event List window (no note information e.g 01.04.254 C3 etc or SYS EX information). I click on the MIDI information - highlight it in the edit window, and also make sure the Event List is showing as note and the correct MIDI file. I can't work out what has happened to this information and can't see by list what is happeningg on the MIDI track. I have set the Theme to default, so it is not that hiding a window. All very strange. I can edit MIDI file information in MidiKit but DP has such good list editing.

Any idea what has happened ? I depend on DP for this. Cheers

View Filter (cmd-F)? On DP10 the filter settings are at the top of the Event List. Don't remember if that was the same for previous versions.

You are a genius - thanks - somehow this had been switched off (possibly when using the DP10 demo?). I was really struggling with this one - thanks very much for your help.

The view filter again!

The Easter Egg becomes active when you instinctively hit cmd-f to find something. Oh wait, that key command is the default for the view filter in DP- UNLIKE EVER OTHER PROGRAM AND OS EVER!

That is how you changed the setting.

Thanks MOTU, for keepytge spirit of the Easter Egg alive.

That'll be it - thought I was going bonkers - probably not the only one to do this. Thanks again.

I’m glad you found an easy solution to this issue! I’m just curious if anyone has another issue with the MIDI event list. Only since DP10, my MIDI event list windows open horizontally instead of vertically, and narrowly enough where you can only see one row of info until you resize it. Totally useless. Does this happen for anyone else?
