NEWBIE DP10 Fades issue

Post by newageguitar »

I've been on 8 since inception and just updated to 10.

I can't seem to select a fade without the defined selection always collapsing the fade, can't even fade manually from the "fade dialogue box" which always worked in a crunch.
Been through all the snap parameters and have "Fade Selected Time Ranges" selected in the dialogue box.

Any help for the DP 10 dummy here would be great and appreciated, I truly need to do my fades as I always have as many times I need to do them with the grid Off.

I appreciate your help.

There’s a variety of known bugs in DP10’s audio fade implemtation. This sounds like one for sure. MOTU has said the fixes will be in the next update, which should be available anytime now (he said optimistically).

I thank you for confirming my dilemma and I sure hope they're on it. This bug literally triples my work flow time, extremely annoying. Not only that but the constant command window that opens when I hover on a specific fade or anywhere actually on the desktop GUI.

You wouldn't happen to know a way to turn that off by chance? it's about 97.97% as annoying.

Thank you my friend.

The update was released last week in case you missed it. It seems to have eliminated the cross fade issues I was having. If 10.01 didn't fix your issue I suggest submitting a Tech Note via MOTU's support page.
