QuickScribe over-loudness when clicking on notes

Post by remmet »

Why is it that when I click on notes in QuickScribe Editor, they sound twice as loud as their velocity would merit? Is there a way to quiet them down and save my monitors and ears?

Thanks.

I think you found a legit bug.

In the piano roll, when you click a note it plays back at its actual velocity. QuickScribe SHOULD do the same, but it does not. It appears to play the note at some fixed velocity (ignoring the actual velocity of the note). Seems to play back at 100 or so. If MOTU has some reason why this behaves this way, they should at least include an option to say: play selected notes at fixed velocity or actual velocity.

I doubt they will fix this for version 9.5. I don't know if this is the case for older versions. They might fix it for v10.
