Reverse soundbite doesn't seem to work (SOLVED)

Post by Killahurts »

I'm selecting the bite, going to Audio> Apply Plug-in> takes me to the plugin menu where I select (MOTU) Reverse. I hit OK and it does nothing, as though I never did any of the previous. I just updated to 9.52 but to no avail.

It's working here. Have you tried a new project? Maybe there's something going on specific to the project file?

Yes, tried it in 2 different projects so far. I also tried accessing it from right click on the soundbite's menu, same thing.

I don't use reverse very often, and I was thinking I was doing something wrong. I remember when I selected that plugin, I would get a little box that said "apply". I don't get that little box now. Updating the software would have updated that plugin as well, right?

I'll poke around in there and see if I can find something.. maybe in the plugin prefs? Really, really need reverse to work for the project I'm doing :(

And while I'm here, I'll say that I think reverse should be an editing command, i.e. push one button to reverse a file in DP. It is a simple feature, who's time has come.

(of course then everybody would be reversing everything.. lead vocals, drums, Beatles albums, recipes, cats marrying dogs, world goes crazy..)

Well this is embarrassing.

The "apply" window was coming up, I just didn't see it because where it came up on the screen blended perfectly with that part of the consolidated window.

I had switched my theme to Carbon Fiber a day or two ago, and there is really no contrast at all between those windows, especially in the tabs/transport area.

Switching back to a lighter theme, don't like the dark ones as much anyway.

 Classic! This inspires me to change the theme in my life so I won’t have too see or hear people and things that annoy me. I’ll call it: Let Bygones Be Gone! $49.95 (MAC OS 7.5 or less). Use the the code words: I’M SICK OF YOU PEOPLE and pay only $59.99!

On a slow news day, you might catch a glimpse of the ghost of Buck Owens hitchhiking his way along the 58 on his way back to the Crystal Palace.

Poor old Barstow. :) I was in a long-distance relationship for a while and we figured out Barstow was about the exact midpoint between us, so we'd meet up in Barstow sometimes. Not much to do in Barstow. I used to joke that the people that lived there were mostly descendants of people whose cars broke down on the way to Las Vegas and they never left. :)

I'm going absolutely crazy.

I see no REVERSE anywhere in DP. Plugins chooser nor menus.

WHERE DID IT GO!?!?!?!

Available only offline. Not as an insert. Select the SB, R-Click, Apply Plugin, MOTU, Reverse.

I've both DP10 and DP952 installed on my computer.

Dp952 does not show a reverse plugin.

DP10 works fine.

Looks like DP10 installed a reverse plugin that is no more compatible with DP952.

Just guessing
