I'm not certain of this, but in the past a new version of DP would end up advertised early in a semi-annual online store's gear catalog. Something to do with water
But what do I know. Just another speculator speculating.

Re: DP10 speculation?
Mosaic was a great program! I totally forgot about it! I was bummed when they just let it die with no explanation (sort of like what they did with DP Control...no explanation). It was WAY more user-friendly than Finale or Sibelius.williemyers wrote:ah, well...I can live with that.James Steele wrote:...If you're not the only one, Willie, you're part of a very small minority.
look, don't get me wrong. I, like most of you, have got thousands of dollars and tens of thousands of hours invested in my DP-based studio. I certainly don't want to see DP go away - - just the opposite.
It's just that, when there are long stretches of what seems like minimal DP development, I think back - wayyy back - to Mosaic, and how it died a slow death of attrition.
Anyway, as I said in a prev. post, MOTU's got a booth, so we'll all look forward to whatever they're going to show!
I'll use both of those if I am forced to, but Presonus Notion is the first notation program I've found that is as intuitive as Mosaic was.
OSX Big Sur (latest). Mac Pro Late 2013 ("trash-can"), 3.5 Ghz 6-Core Intel XeonE5, 64GB RAM. Motu DP 11.31, Vienna Pro Server, Presonus Notion, Osculator, Keyboard Maestro, Tanqueray or Bombay Sapphire.

Re: DP10 speculation?
DP 10 will be released as a free upgrade to all users on June 23, 2019.
It will include a robust professional notation feature that will blow all others out of the water.
It will also include all existing VIs in the universe as well as all existing plugs.
Most importantly, the copy paste bug that three members here have mentioned repeatedly, will not have been addressed. Apparently this is due to an agreement with the John Cage estate.
And in regard to all of the above, OR NOT.

It's all of space-time, so you get all the plugins that have yet to be written.williemyers wrote:wait a moment....MIDI Life Crisis wrote:...It will also include all existing VIs in the universe....

Re: DP10 speculation?
There are all kinds of plugs. Some cannot be mentioned in this forum due to restraints intended to keep this a family site. Suffice it to say I already have enough plugs to fill my yin yang several times over, which may be more of a testament to the size of my yin yang than to how many plugs it takes to fill it. Of course now we know how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall, butt eye digress (literally and figuratively).

And who knew that Clitarist was an actual word (according to the urban dictionary)! You may want to avoid googling as "image" for it.
