Question for anyone composing orchestral-type music with a MacBook Pro. I'm running EW QL Platinum Plus and considering getting a MacBook Pro 15" with the i9 processor and 32 Gigs Ram Will this be enough to run a full orchestral template.
Thanks for your thoughts/help!

Re: MacBook Pro 2018 32 gigs: Enough Ram for orchestral temp
This is enough to run an orchestral template, but since I upgraded (?) to this MacBook Pro 2018, I get constant spinning beach balls on projects that ran fine on my 2012 Mac mini.... not impressed at all with this MacBook Pro... and yes it runs hot as well. And I get way more crashes in DP now than even before when running DP on High Sierra on my Mac mini.
I think there is some hidden incompatibility with DP 9.52, High Sierra, and this MacBook Pro, but it still generally runs ok. I even have two other Macs that I use with it connected via VE Pro, so I am offloading most of my strings to those computers...
I do hope once I upgrade to Mojave most of these issues will be resolved. Hasn't been a fun ride for me at all watching those beach balls.... makes me want go to the beach while I'm waiting..

What does DP's Background Processing Window show? Access it through Preferences. it should tell you what's causing the problem.not impressed at all with this MacBook Pro... and yes it runs hot as well.
