Motu PCIe & External Thunderbolt 3 Chasis

Post by garronleslie »

Hi Folks,
Apologies if this info exists else where, but i could not find it.

I am having troubles using a brand new Windows 10 PC (Dell XPS 15 i7) & Fresh new OS (it's a brand new Dell XPS device 2 weeks old) - and using an Akitio Node Lite TB3 with the MOTU 424 PCIe card installed.

Dell has TB3 ports with full 4 lane capability. (and yes i am using the TB3 ports and not the USB-C ports ;-)

Has anyone been able to get this combo running on their Win 10 machine at all?
My situation is that in device manager i can see the drivers have loaded, but it has an exclamation mark against the MOTU hardware.

Am using the latest MAI windows drivers from MOTU site.

As a benchmark - i also have a brand new MacBook Pro 13" - 5 weeks old, and using the MOTU Mac drivers, i can use the Akitio Node Lite with PCIe 424 card no problem. I simply plug it in and within seconds the Mac see's the PCIe card.

Was hoping someone had some experience with this, and could shed some light on how to manipulate Windows to comply :-)
