Not sure that UltraTap adds any functionality that I need. The PSP 608 Multi-Delay is pretty good and I already own that (sure didn’t pay the $149 either).

Inspired by the Ensoniq ESQ-1 (but more like the SQ-80 on steroids). Miss my old SQ-80 and at $49, it's a decent price. This is as close as I've seen it emulated. There was an emulation from Emu but it was only for PCs.
Mikey likey! And a double-sequencer!

UPDATE:
Bought it. It's pretty good and I like the GUI for odd deign purposes. I was hoping it might duplicate the SQ-80/EQS-1 GUI but it is totally different. The basic sounds didn't do much for me, but I was able to get fast results just messing with the various FX and other parameters. It can get pretty trippy and the edges (in a good way). I see it more as a design than a musical instrument tool, but it can certainly handle some of the more odd audio needs in the music dept as well. I think it's worth the $50.

New 32-bit wrapper, Bridgewize, from DDMF $29!
Bridgewize
"... world’s first bit bridging application that covers both VST and AU plugins on Mac, and of course VST plugins on Windows. It uses the same proprietary wrapping technique that has already been successfully introduced with Metaplugin3, but now in a dedicated standalone package that allows you to selectively create seamlessly bridged versions of your favourite 32 bit babies.
Features:
Plugin organizer to display all 32 bit candidates for easy and intuitive wrapping and unwrapping
Zero-latency audio transfer between the 64 bit DAW and the dedicated 32 bit bridging app
Plugin UI appearing seamlessly in the host’s window
Negligible additional CPU usage
Compatible with VST 2.4 plugins, OSX 10.6 and higher or Windows Vista and higher (untested on Windows XP)"
Demo available for testing
The plugin is only $29!!
https://ddmf.eu
But if you already own another DDMF plugin, you can get a coupon code for half off of that already modest price.
So, I'll put in another plug for DDMF's excellent Directional EQ which though I could see it's usefulness in mastering and problem-solving-- it is also a fabulous vocal canceller and transcription tool.

Wow! I've been using 32 Lives but definitely going to give this a spin as there are a few plugs I've had a few issues with.

Re: New 32-bit wrapper, Bridgewize, from DDMF $29!
Update on Bridgewize: I had such high hopes, that I got out of bed, fired up the studio and downloaded the demo. The plug I wanted to try it on was Focusrite Liquid Mix. I've had it working with 32 Lives but discovered an issue where when I first open a project, the meters on the LM hardware would not work if it was inserted after a VI, unless I opened the plug-in first to "tickle" it. So I wrapped the AU with Bridgewize and it seemed like it might be a bit more efficient, but GUI on the plug itself was totally unresponsive. I couldn't open any menus, or give a descriptive name to the instance.
Haven't tried on other 32-bit Audio Units. I'll have to do that later. I also want to open the Effects Performance window and compare efficiency of bridged plugs with Bridgewize versus 32 Lives.

It is brand new, and the developer is very responsive, so you might try contacting him and doing some troubleshooting. Perhaps he can fix?

Yeah... I'll contact him when I have time. Honestly, given that Liquid Mix is an unsupported End of Life product and the developer may need to have the hardware unit to troubleshoot, I don't hold out much hope, but I'll give it a shot when things slow down a little.stubbsonic wrote:It is brand new, and the developer is very responsive, so you might try contacting him and doing some troubleshooting. Re: BridgeWize
I got excited about this one, too. I tried the demo and it kept crashing while bridging, and I tried it on about 6 or so plugs and couldn't get it to work on a single one. Has anyone confirmed this actually works with DP?

Re: Plug-in Sales and Special Deals Sticky Topic
It somewhat worked with Liquid Mix if I loaded a snapshot via the hardware interface. I checked the Effects Performance window and didn't see much difference in performance between it and 32 Lives. If anything 32 Lives may have been a tiny, TINY bit more efficient. I'll stick with the latter for now; although Bridgewize is a new product, so I'm guessing it will improve. I was initially excited, but so far can't see any reason not to stick with 32 Lives which is a mature product.cuttime wrote:I got excited about this one, too. Re: Plug-in Sales and Special Deals Sticky Topic
Is anyone else seeing this with Bridgewize—
I can't get the options drop down menu to show when clicking on it, it just quickly flashes for 1/2 a second and then goes away (have tried both left and right clicking). So I can't select any options from that menu. I'm on a 2017 iMac 4 Ghz running Sierra OS X 10.12.6. I'll have to write to the dev.
Anyways, I was still able after the scans to select and bridge a couple of au's as tests (Bandstand, Pro-53) but haven't tried them yet in DP.
Also -- does anyone know or have any thoughts about whether we first need to unbridge/unwrap plugins that have already previously been bridged with jBridge and/or 49 Lives??
PS -- James, perhaps these posts re: Bridgewize can be put in a new thread dedicated to it.

FYI - Today, it says the price is $59, not $49. Was it really $49 back on Apr. 5 when you posted this? Just wondering if they jiggered the sale price since then....MIDI Life Crisis wrote:https://www.uvi.net/USQ-1.html?utm_sour ... c-28289373

Re: Plug-in Sales and Special Deals Sticky Topic
Special offer expired Apr 10. It's was supposed to go tp $79 so I'm guessing you might contact them and make a case (they might rather make the sale than loose the $$$). Again, however, it is NOT anything near the SQ-80 in terms of the GUI, which is what I found particularly appealing for design purposes on the hardware. It's not "bad" but it's also not as much fun to fu... fu-fu-fu... fu-fu-fu-fu... mess with as the old SQ was.

Thanks, MLC.
I'm intrigued, I like the dual OSC architecture with each having its own arp and mod and other settings too.
But I need another synth like another hole in my head.....but I'm tempted, and have watched the overview video.
It seems you think it sounds good, but hard to tell from what you have written about it.
So, does it sound good to you? Does it come with lots of wave forms? I agree that it's more for sound design than faithful instrument sounds, and I'm intrigued by its sound design potential with the 2 oscillator set up, with each having separate controls for various things, including the arp and mod. I'm not into EDM, dance, techno etc., but would use if for prog rock, Floyd, stuff etc. So I'm hoping it is not too EDM'ed out, and would appreciate your input in these regards.
EDIT: Here's an in depth 1 hour review and preset run through -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mSqyJ0yEBV0
