This is pitch & time software that works only in standalone mode to process single files. I've used it for years to tune & transpose mixes, and to change tempos on songs that students are learning. It's a great tool. It's not super versatile, but it does what it does very well.

AudioDeluxe has it as well. The APR2018 coupon doesn't apply to this deal but it does to many others and might save some $$$ overall.

There was a time I might have jumped on this, but with DP9.5, it is no longer needed.

Not quite apples-to-apples, but I understand your point.

I think it is among the best, but I still haven’t found anything that pitches vocals beyond a 1/2 step or so well enough. The best I have found is Radius inside iZotope RX. Your experience? I cannot find any examples online of the Ircam Labs TS on vocals. This is the truest test of one of these doohickies and there are no examples

Also, is there a difference between Ircam Labs TS and the same algorithms inside Mach 5 and Dp 9.5?

So this is the deal I've been waiting for!

MLC and Stubbsonic, but does it not sort of duplicate what DP does now? I haven't really played much with DP's new algorithms, but Stubbs mentioned comparing them is not apples to apples. Could you please elaborate a little?

I had been using MachFive for this, so if I get that plugin, would the workflow be better? I see you still have to open the program in stand alone...
How easy would syncing DP and this IRCAM tool be? It's not too bad in MF, but not ideal either.

Man, I really need to unsubscribe from this thread... There is the SoundToys offer, this one, and of course I'm getting them... and I had bought a bunch of plugins during the winter break

Like I have already Little Alter Boy (which I got for free a while ago via this very same thread), so now they offer me their whole bundle enchilada for only $209. I wanted to get Echo Boy and Decapitator at $49 each. That means that for $100 bucks more, I can get everything... Grrrrrr. And now the IRCAM TS :smash:

Eventide Ultra Essentials Bundle $99

Post by mikehalloran »

https://www.eventideaudio.com/products/ ... n%20Bundle

Transform Your Mixes with Three Essential Production Tools

Designed as the ultimate toolset for producers, engineers and sound designers, the Ultra Essentials Bundle features three of our most powerful plugins: UltraChannel, UltraReverb and UltraTap. Whether you are mixing or tracking a record, live sound or post production, our Ultra Essentials will not only make everyday tasks easier but fire your imagination.

I have UltraChannel & UltraReverb. Both are very good. Don't know that I'll need UltraTap. I'll have to find out if there's a special add-on price.

Hmmmm... all of my Eventide plugs were updated on March 30 (mostly for ProTools issues) but I see that UltraChannel and UltraReverb acquired sidechain support for the VST2 version. Interesting...

In the store, you have the option of a full license @$99, upgrade from one plugin @$79 or from two plugins @$49.

Not sure that UltraTap adds any functionality that I need. The PSP 608 Multi-Delay is pretty good and I already own that (sure didn’t pay the $149 either).

I think they each use different processes. DP's new pitch & time is based on ZTX Pro from Zynaptiq-- and it seems to do what it does very well. It also allows you to automate the changes in realtime throughout the track and is obviously easier since it resides inside DP.

IRCAM TS uses an "advanced phase vocoder" engine-- (whatever that means). It appears to be more tweakable and gives you control over how it is working. That said, it isn't without artifacts especially in more extreme cases.

I'd say if DP 9.5 is meeting your needs, then stick with it.

If you are curious about IRCAM TS, just download it and try it. I think it has a 30 day demo.

It also duplicates what Mach5-3 does. I think the ircam standalone still yields better results than DP. Comparable to M5. I don’t use it much but when I need to do that kind of thin I find much more convenient yielding better results.

Exactly my take. I already had the reverb and channel strip, and while $49 is good for what it is, it is ground already well covered by other plugins.

Can you clarify? Is TS standalone better than TS in Mach Five? Or do you mean TS standalone is better than the function built into DP 9.5.1? Or both?
