Tools (Scissor tool)

Post by rockydill »

Scissor tool works fine when selected from Tools Window but not with C keystroke.
Can anyone explain this as I prefer the C option?
Thanks

Simply hold and keep letter c pressed while you cut stuff around, or, double tap it, so it sticks and you free your hand.

All DP tools work like this 8)
Mac Mini Server i7 2.66 GHs/16 GB RAM / OSX 10.14 / DP 9.52
Tascam DM-24, MOTU Track 16, all Spectrasonics' stuff,
Vienna Instruments SUPER PACKAGE, Waves Mercury, slaved iMac and Mac Minis running VEP 7, etc.

Sometimes a key is prioritized for use by the system. Your profile doesn't show whether you are Mac or Windows.

If Mac, you can go to Apple Menu/System Preferences/Keyboard/Shortcuts tab and look at the various categories and see if "C" by itself is used somewhere. I don't see it anywhere in the defaults. But perhaps something is using it?

After doing what Stubbsonic suggested, if it doesn't work, try changing the scissor tool to some other letter in DP's commands window (shift-L).

Also, try it with other tools to see if it works. Try letter z. The moment you press and hold it, it should turn into the zoom tool.

Thanks guys. I've allocated to a different keystroke and works fine now. (On Mac BTW)
