Hi Johan,

just go on MOTU website ( http://www.motu.com ) and register for access to the MOTU download page. There, you'll find all the latest drivers for PC & Mac. The latest MOTU firewire driver for PC (for 896, 896 HD and traveler) is the version 3.5.3.2. Just download it, unzip it and run setup.exe, following the same steps I described above.

Best regards from france

Thank you!
I must have been blind (or stressed out) but I didn‘t see it when I went to Motus support page before, I feel much more secure now.

Hi again Baptiste

I apologize for not replying your question, I didn't scroll down far enough on my screen to see that anybody replied! Sorry.

I'm using Adobe Audition 1.5, XP w/SP2 installed, and trying to run an origianl 896. What I have found out is that the 896 does not support Cuemix therefore you can only monitor a stereo pair at a time. Audition itself does not support live monitoring. SO! What I thought I would do would be to use the 8 preamps of the motu to go to record and then I thought I could use the 8 motu outputs and feed them to my mackie and be able to monitor live. BUTTT apparently I can't do that either! I guess I can still only monitor 2 tracks. I'm really bummed, very confused and right now a bit hungry.

Thanks for your previous reply, and any insight you or anyone else can give would be appreciated

You say that when you call up Cuemix, you got an error? And uninstalling XP SP2 helped you out? Now when you call up Cuemix, do you actually see the little mixer and are you able to monitor all of your inputs. I have an 896 and would like to be able to monitor all 8 inputs while recording and not only 2!

Thanks & I hope it's still all holdiong togther for you!

I'm a french user of an 896HD with a PC since about one year. I'haven't got any problem of drivers or others things under win2k and Cubase SX1, but as everyone know, Cubase SX3 and Nuendo3 run only under winXP. And that's where my problems begin: I tried to install the latest version of the MOTU firewire driver (v 3.5.3.2) on a CLEAN, NEW Windows XP SP2 installation, without multiboot (I don't know if it's important, but we never know...). When finished, FWAkeys.exe is normally running, the MOTU firewire audio application works, but not the CueMix and SMPTE consoles. When I launch this apps, I've got the following message:

"The driver has reported a MOTU error 25.

Called from file \build\Windows\Fwaudio\CueMix\Windows\I_FWCoreIO.cpp line 47.

Driver file C:\build\Windows\FWAUDIO\fwwdm\FireWireProvider.cpp 539 errCode 00000019"

May it be a hardware uncompatibility with my PC ??? :?:
Please help me, I haven't got enough money to buy a big Macintosh...

My PC hardware:
Proc: Intel P4 630 @ 3Ghz
MB: Asus P5GD2 Premium
Memory: 1GB (Corsair Value Select DDRII 512 Mo PC4200 x2) in dual channel
OS on 60GB ATA133 7200rpm IBM Deskstar HD
Audio files on 200GB SATA150 7200rpm Seagate Barracuda HD

Other hardware used with my 896HD: An old ADAT Black, KRK V6 series2 monitors, many electronics instruments (Roland TD6-K, Korg X5-D, SPD20, Yam A3000).

Hello everybody
I reinstalled windows but did not enable automatic updates. This time I succeded in installing the patches. Right now I have 16 channels recording with low latency - I am satisfied.
Thanks for all help!
