soundtrack/ soundtrack pro problem

I click on the icon and either program won't start. I wonder if it has anythig to do with a recent apple update. i reinstalled soundtrack and it didn't work- same thing. Its kind of a bummer as I use these programs a lot in conjunction with DP (for loop swetening of my DP tracks)

If you are clicking the icon in your dock, it may not be linked to the program file. Open the Applications folder and try to open it from there.

I tried that with both programs, soundtrack and soundtrack pro- still no cigar...
