Install demo version of DP9 and still use paid-for DP8?
I'm having bad issues with a brand new install of DP 8.07 and High Sierra.
I'd like to see if those issues go away if I use DP 9 but it doesn't seem like I can use DP 9 (even in a demo version) while a paid-for version of DP 8 is installed?
My evidence for this is that I've downloaded DP 9 from Motu's website but clicking it does nothing...
Thanks for any advice.

You haven't told us anything so
What is your question?

Thanks, Mike.
Here is my question:
Is it possible to use DP9 (in demo mode) with an operating, fully paid-for version of DP 8.07 on the same (bootable) partition?

You need to rename your 8.07 install (to, say Digital Performer 8.07). Otherwise the new version will overwrite anything named just Digital Performer.app.
If you accidentally overwrote 8.07, you can download it and reinstall. Just make sure that, when you're done, you have two separate apps.
The aliases in the dock may need to be trashed and re-established so that, when clicking on the one you want, it opens and not the other.
DP 8 will open DP 9 files but any 9 only features might not function in 8.
9.13 and later are optimized for El Capitan, Sierra and High Sierra. DP 9.51 does not have the license server issue once purchased.
So, what's the problem you are having in 8?

To be specific: DP8 is not supported under OS 10.11 or later. You may get some functionality but you will definitely have problems. For OS 10.11 or later you should be running DP9.51

Re: Install demo version of DP9 and still use paid-for DP8?
be careful with DP demo's, I demo'ed 8 while using 7 and the DP 8 demo install overwrote a bunch of mas plugins, after deleting the 8 demo some plugins (DP8 versions) would not work in DP7, just make sure you drag all your motu MAS plugins into a separate folder before installing the demo.
