I have a 23.98fps .mp4 movie file that I'm trying to sync up to the DP time code. Time stamp on movie starts at 1:00:00;00. In DP, I setting the chunk start time and the movie start time to the exact same frame. However, when I hit right on the keyboard to advance to the first frame, the movie doesn't advance a frame until about 2-3 frames have advanced in DP.
I've had this happen on a few movie files (not all) and attributed it to the editor making a mistake. However, when I open the movie file in Quicktime, there is no delay when I go one frame from 1:00:00;00 to 1:00:00;01.
I can just offset the movie start time in DP, but am afraid the timing will be off when the editor puts my song in.

MOTU is looking into this as they were able to recreate the problem. Will update.

Re: 2-3 frames delay on movie start
Thanks for reporting this. I have an MP4 right now that is pretty laggy when scrubbing or locating in DP 9.5 on Win 10.
I was able to retain my sanity a bit by unlinking video playback from transport, since most of the time I don't actually need it playing. But of course that's not gonna help if you need to see the video.
Interested to hear what they say.
