I recently bought a new spinner to hold bulk non-essential files and put in a bay on my MP. However I can't import any of the audio on it into DP. I get "Os Error" File not found -43". If I move the desired audio to any other drive in my system I can import into DP np. The permissions of the new drive and the audio files on it are identical to the ones on all my other drives, but for some reason I can't import any audio directly from that drive. Any idea what's going on?
Thanks!

Re: Can't import audio into DP from another drive
Bump.
Actually, the issue is much worse. I can't create a new DP project on this drive! All versions of DP crash when trying to create a new project. Something's up. Any ideas?

Re: Can't import audio into DP from another drive
No, they aren't.The permissions of the new drive and the audio files on it are identical to the ones on all my other drives,
Do Get Info on one of your other drives but not your boot drive. Grant each listed user the same privileges on the new drive that you you see on a connected drive that works. Make sure that you also highlight each user and Apply. If admin is listed but not you, then make sure the new drive conforms.
Once this is done, you will likely have to do the same to the folders on the drive. If there's a red dash on the folder icon, you can't write to it and may not be able to read.
It used to be that all you had to do was grant privileges to the entire drive. Not anymore...

Re: Can't import audio into DP from another drive
Right. I meant all my non-boot drives had identical privileges settings. Sry.
I tried applying-to-enclosed on each of the listed users (system, wheel, everyone) as you suggest, but DP still crashes if I try to create a new project on the drive. Even to the top level.
Something's messed up with this drive. Everything checks out with Disk Repair and TechTools that I can see. Any other ideas?
Thanks Mike!

Re: DP crashes on project-creation (on certain drive)
It looks like checking "Ignore ownership on this volume" in Sharing & Permissions of the volume fixes these and a bunch of other permissions issues I was having. ...who knew?
