Watch out for new powerbooks

Post by daddyunicorn »

Just FYI:

I picked up 3 brand new PB's 15inchers, 1.67. Yes, all 3 had dead batteries. Apple agrees to send out new batteries, but this is one big FU. Merry Christmas apple.

That's odd - at my day gig (IT in a marketing company) we just got 6 of them in...all fine.

Such is the luck if the draw.

I picked up a 17' in December and I was lucky I had no problems so far. I would have been very pissed  if my battery was dead though.

Apple replaced my battery in 3 days.
Now it works fine.
very odd.
I bought the Applecare for $240. I am sure it will get some good use.
