I don't use Bounce to Disk much in DP. Is it normal for VEP6 to reload the entire instance before commencing the bounce? It doesn't always do it, and I can't figure out when or why it does it. The bounces seem fine, but it can add a lot of time.
EDIT: I just noticed it also reloads the instance when the bounce is done.
Yep. At least it definitely does with freezing, don't know about bouncing.
It's a right royal Pain In The Neck
It does the equivalent of re-starting the audio system, as it re-assigns all the outputs to various auxes for the freeze - it can take an age to do with bigger templates.
2*5-core 3.46 Intel xeon (32 gigs RAM), 2*dual 2.5 (16 & 32 gigs RAM), DP 8.07, WAVES 9, Lexicon plugs, SoundToys, all Spectrasonics, NI Komplete 9, Vienna Ensemble (extended), LASS, Evolve, Symphobia, etc, Cinesamples, Arturia, cinestrings, all Project Sam
That's not my experience with Freezing. If I select the MIDI track and the aux master VEP doesn't reload the instance, only on Bounce to Disk, and not every time. ...after I relaunched DP just now, suddenly I'm not getting reload behavior. I can't tell if the relaunch fixed it or what.
