A new converter might sound better than your MOTU, but it wouldn't be because of the software, just newer, presumably better A/D D/A. If there is indeed an improvement in the sound with 9.1, probably many of us would hear it regardless of what (professional) interface we are using.buzzsmith wrote:

DP11, 2019 16-Core Mac Pro, OS 14 Sonoma , 64GB RAM. RME HDSPe MADI FX to SSL Alphalink to SSL Matrix console, and multiple digital sub consoles. UAD Quad PCIe. Outboard stuff.

Don't know Buzz, I have RME's. my issues have been solved though. I rolled back to 9.02 and things are fine for me although 9.2 sounds allot better.
