Hi all !
Is anyone using Slate VMR in dp8 or 9
having that same issue !??
It seems that if you stop the playback or close the plugin , the VMR module bypass themselves which is very annoying,.... the only way to make them work is to let them open ,
but the computer performances won't like that if you use a lot of them.
and it happened not all the time ,....
they report that error at slate
[EF-388] - Digital Performer and AU only: Playback off, Plugins are bypassed
but it's not only on playback stop, also on closing the plugin,
the empty 250 reverb has the same problem, anyone notice this ????

I've had no problems with any Slate VMR in DP 9. What CPU / RAM combo are you running?

I'm using many instances of VMR in DP8.07 with no issues but I do remember this problem, I thought it was resolved? Check that you are using the latest version of VMR, Slate do not always email when there is a new version (well, they don't email me:-). I would also contact Slate support, I have found them to be very helpful. I had an issue with VBC, it took while but they eventually fixed it.

Yeah, are you talking about the new update from yesterday? I just installed it an hour ago but haven't launched DP yet tonight. Now I'm a bit concerned.

Ironically I did get an email yesterday about this latest update and this is still listed as a known issue.
Installed and as far as I can see everything is fine, I cannot remember when I last had this problem, some time ago now, could have even been when I was still on DP7.

I've been having the same issue. Was going to contact slate but now you have to book a slot to speak with someone. I haven't got round to that yet..

I have not been experiencing this, and I've been using VMR extensively as of late. Yosemite, newest DP9.
DP11, 2019 16-Core Mac Pro, OS 14 Sonoma , 64GB RAM. RME HDSPe MADI FX to SSL Alphalink to SSL Matrix console, and multiple digital sub consoles. UAD Quad PCIe. Outboard stuff.

Change to all plugs always run in real time. That was the response from tech support. It has been working fine for me since...

Installed DP 9.1 (but kept 9.02) and I am still having the bypass issue with Slate VCC. The "Always Run In Real Time" has been removed in 9.1 so I guess I go back to 9.02.
