Is there a bug with soundbite time in DP 9.02 ?

Post by BERLY »

Hi all,

I’ve recorded a few audio musicians sessions.

I had a Tempo edited in the conductor track so the dp click followed the conductor track.

In the songs I got the issue, there were no tempo change, only one tempo event at the very beginning of the timeline.

After recording the rhythmic, we did a few rerecording, and editing here and there.

The day after, I reopened the Project. We wanted to add a few measures at the beginning of the song.

So I selected all in the track window and moved all for a few measures.

After a while, I realized that my rerecording or editing soundbites were become asynchronous. They move because I did "select all" but not with the same value. Incredible.

To avoid any error, I came back at the moment I had opened the Project, but the asynchronous soundbites never came back at the right place ! I had never seen that ! I think I already did that many times in the past…

Fortunately, I had a back up of the project so I were able to restart from the back up and have all my soundbites synchronized.

My workaround was to make copy of all the takes, then make a merge on each track and then move my soundbites safely.

I’ve had the same problem on another song in another Project.

There’s something buggy there isn’t it ? Or am I missing something ?

If I had made tempo changes, I could understand It could be some offsets if I would not move the conductor events with. But there is no tempo change in those Projects.

Am I alone with this bug ? I have the very last version of dp 9.02

Thanks, best regards

Christophe

I just noticed the same problem. Any solutions out there? This can't be a bug, or can it?

......just found the solution. Next to the metronome marking you have the option to click conductor track instead of Tempo slider. That did it for me.
