Activation not working?!

Post by Robert Randolph »

I do have a techlink out for this, but I figured I'd ask here as well.

I decided to reformat yesterday to clean up a bunch of junk on my system, as well as fix a really odd freeze issue. I installed DP 9.02 fresh from the website.

Now when I enter my info to activate, the 'activate' button never becomes clickable. It stays grey.

Any ideas other than wait for tech support?

edit: I did try trashing prefs and application support. I'm not sure what else to do.

edit 2: some keywords for better search priority - activation greyed out, can't activate, activation fails, activation problem, activate button grey

Within an hour and some exchanges with support (via techlink), the problem is fixed.

For some reason trashing the ~/Library/Application Support/Motu folder again fixed the issue.

I was also told to be careful of extra spaces in the serial. They were not present in my case, but perhaps that will help someone else that finds this thread in the future.

Use dashes, not minus signs. Took me forever before I figured that one out.
