I'm in LA working on an early '08 desktop and at another location the artist is doing vocals and sending them to me. Were at 96k 24bit. He's working on a newer iMac. On these tracks though with the '08 machine, waveform are not there. The files are there but not the drawn waveforms for edit are not. Both locations are using DP8 latest version.
Any suggestions

Sounds like a problem with the waveform overview files, maybe?Timeline wrote:I'm in LA working on an early '08 desktop and at another location the artist is doing vocals and sending them to me. It's not the most elegant fix, but you could select the soundbites with the missing waveforms and choose "Merge." That should create a new audio file that will be an exact duplicate and then DP should generate a new waveform overview for the new file.
It's not a "fix" per se, but at least get you to where you can edit again.

You can try trashing the Analysis Files folder and restart DP. It will reanalyze the files. Sometimes that works and the waveforms become visible again.
