I just upgraded from OS X 10.39 (dp 4.61, reason, ableton, powercore, virus, etc...) to OS X 10.43
and I must say that the difference in performance is astounding. I was having many "issues" such as constant buffer overide errors (with only 4-8 tracks of MIDI via soft synths etc...) It was driving me crazy to the point of pulling out hair that I don't even have. I was thinking I would need a new machine soon (powerbook 800).
Now I feel that I can wait until next year when the intel thing is worked out.....
Has anybody experienced this performance upgrade with osx 10.4, or am I just experiencing a placebo effect?
Question regarding OS X 10.4

josh,
Indeed, there is a huge performance benifit with 10.43. I find it more robust.
Also having the ability to set AudioMidiSetup to use Aggregate Audio in/out is helpfull for me in programmes such as Cubase SX3.
I still have PANTHER on one of my other drives and it does have issues.
