Tempo slider change with mouse scroll wheel-DP 9
Up until DP 9 the mouse scroll wheel would change the tempo slider value by 1, now it is by 10. Am I missing a preference setting somewhere, or was this a new change in DP 9 in general?
Thanks, fellows.

I can't confirm this. Still by ones here. I'm using BetterTouchTool with an Apple Magic Mouse. Are you using any kind of mouse hacks?

No hacks. And I can boot into DP 8 and it still works in increments of 1 there, which is great for fine tuning tempos quickly as opposed to typing in values.cuttime wrote:I can't confirm this. Yes, I noticed it too.
Don't know why they changed this.
I do prefer by increments of 1.

You can click on the number field and drag up or down. If you click to the right of the decimal point it changes the fractional part (mantissa) and if you click to the left of it it changes the integer part by 1. Not the same, I know, but a workaround.

I'm seeing the same as Phil. And using the wheel without clicking the changes are in 1s, not 10s.

Thanks for the workaround, Phil-O. My screen is almost 4' from the mix position so these small windows are difficult to see. Hovering the mouse pointer and rolling the wheel is very easy to do without having to actually see the tempo numbers IOW.

Ah, yes. Didn't recognize you with the glasses.
BTW, I've got the magic mouse with the little scroll ball. The slightest movement of the ball makes the tempo jump 20, 30, sometimes 40 ticks. I can still get increments of 1 in DP8.

Re: Tempo slider change with mouse scroll wheel-DP 9
I was having that problem, along with wild zooms, etc., with a few Apple pointing devices using DP 8. It all cleared up with OS 10.10. Now with DP 9 the rapid movements and zooms are back, except for the magic trackpad, which seems to have kept its cool. I have to attribute this mostly to DP -- various other applications have remained stable on this matter throughout version and OS changes.Phil O wrote:I've got the magic mouse with the little scroll ball. Re: Tempo slider change with mouse scroll wheel-DP 9
We'll chalk it up to another DP 9 bug that hopefully gets fixed in .01
