Anyone using DP with the MAS version of VE Pro noticing CPU spikes or decreased voice capability from their satellite machines?
I've recently upgraded a number of components and integrated a new main computer. I've been troubleshooting extensively (days and days at this point---someone please shoot me!) and I've got my system up and running but I am continuing to get CPU spikes on sequences that in my old system played fine. In the old set up the CPU meter would be at about 75-85% but I wouldn't see any overloads. In my previous set up I had a much less powerful main computer, same satellite computers, but running the AU version of VE Pro using a bunch of event servers. The problem seems to clearly be caused by network spikes when playing a lot of voices simultaneously. Upping the number of buffers in VE Pro doesn't seem to consistently solve the problem. I'm starting to think that either the MAS version of VE Pro does not use the network as efficiently as the older version or it's just somehow glitchy. At least in my set up it is. I've got a relatively new gigabit switch and all new cables. They all seem to be working fine and changing cables and removing the switch from the equation didn't change anything. The network utility says I'm running at 1GB on a all machines. To solve the problem (for the most part) I've basically moved a whole bunch of my palette to the main mac and removed some of the burden from the satellite machines. I know that I can raise the buffer in the main machine, but I really don't want to.
So-I've changed enough things at one time in my setup I can't say definitively that the MAS version of VE Pro is not working as well as the AU version. If anyone else has experienced reduced voices or is getting higher CPU spikes, please chime in. In many of your setups, not having to use all those event servers is probably helping most of you out. Having said that, adding event an event server also adds an additional buffer of latency into the system so it's possible some of you with a high power main computer might be experiencing something similar to me. So I thought I'd ask. I figure this is a better spot to ask than the VE Pro boards since everyone here is a DP user.
Thanks!

Hi
I have moved some of my VEPro5 from a remote mac to my main MacPro - ( really big machine).
Since that I have had crashes both in DP8 & 9 and Cubase 8.
Pro Tools 11 is steaddy as a rock.
Could it be the type of the plug-in?
