It's been in my registered products page for ~15 hours now.
It appeared in my page as soon as I had paid by credit card - so it varies I guess. Nothing to worry about with MOTU as they do catch up.

Interesting. Was it in there automatically or did you have to enter it yourself? And it's the same serial number as DP8 right?
I had to do it manually, different serial.

That's interesting as in an email from Magic Dave he said it would be the same serial number as DP8.

Just placed my order for the boxed version. The new serial and registrations appeared instantly in my account (maybe it's the same serial number only for the free upgrades?)

Downloading now...
I'm so excited.
And I just can't hide it.

Updated to OS X 10.10.3 - that took care of the MIDI channel problem.

Oh boy, this new enhancement is a biggie for me:

In the MIDI editor, you can now toggle between all the continuous data!! Press for example 2,3 or 4 (not on numpad). You then toggle between modulation, expression, volume etc etc.

In the commands it's listed as Edit Custom Controller (also Edit Expression). Don't know what Edit in Place is.

This is HUGE, thanks Motu for listening!

Your serial number doesn't change when you upgrade -- mine is unchanged from DP 2.x. When buying new from a reseller, it's not assigned till after you register with MOTU.

Your activation code is different with every version. Although people often confuse it with the serial number, it's not. The serial# is used for support and upgrades.

Understood on both accounts. The issue I'm trying to figure out is my MOTU account still does not show DP9 as a registered product; just DP8 and my MOTU MIDI Timepiece AV USB. Much ado about nothing on my part? IOW am I eligible for support and upgrades with DP9 like I am for DP8?

That's excellent. And sort of explains why Lanes were not added to the MIDI editor.

You are likely one of many whose account has to be updated manually, perhaps by the busy MD.

Wouldn't doubt it but that's okay.

BTW the MOTU servers are better today but still a little weird. Now getting a 500 error when trying to log out of my account. But I do get logged out though.

It does appear that I confused these things. Thanks for pointing that out.

However, my DP6 and DP8 serial's are different, and I upgraded through MOTU.

Maybe you have two licenses. Wouldn't be the first time that happened.

Functionally ok with everything I've tried BUT personally, I hate the dark buttons with black text used in all the dialog windows. At least with the theme I have been using (Savannah). Why did they change an existing theme? In DP8 they are light grey with with black text -- much easier to read.
Guess I'll have to learn how to edit that.
