Is more being added to the feature list or has it been put on the back burner? Thanks Mr. Steel for the update.

Out today but can't get in. Wow! Anyone know the upgrade cost?

I'm guessing you missed the thread about it being released today and MOTU's server being completely slammed?

I know mate. I just don't get here that often to read it all. Will wait to buy it until i hear about any new bugs, and some old ones are cleared up. Cheers, G

Ha! I was just pullin' your toilet chain, Gary. I expect most missed it anyway.

I'll be waiting too; no choice really as I like to buy the disks and the banana boat's pretty damned slow gettin' all the way down to Jungleville.

I bought the disk version, and am waiting for it to arrive. Despite my less than glorious internet connection, I also downloaded DP9. But, I have to say it feels like something is missing without having the nice hefty manual by side, so I am waiting until it arrives, and then I will give number 9 a proper spin.

After all, the initiation rituals around introducing a new version to the mix are important. So come on big box and manual, we need you!

Seriously though, I really appreciate that MOTU gives us the option between download and physical product and a printed manual. Unlike some other *cough* DAW provider who forces everyone to download everything.

I read elsewhere you get a smaller update manual with the boxed upgrade.

Really?

Hmmm... I remember something like that with the DP 3 & 4 & 5 updates, too. They sent the changed or update manuals only in a plastic bag and you were expected to replace or add them to your big box that I got with DP 2. That was a long time ago, however.

Well, I will wait till some of these boxed updates arrive before pulling the trigger - either from Sweetwater for electronic delivery or MOTU for the box. I want to know what is really in the box. If not a full DP 9 manual, I'll do electronic delivery. After all, I have 28 more days.

There's a quote in another DP 9 thread. No manual.

This is literally from the DP9 advert on the MOTU website as of yesterday. I ordered the boxed version based on that info. Today it's been changed BTW.

Have a look at the other threads, including from those who called and asked MOTU. At best it is not clear who will get a full printed manual. Some have been told they will get one. Some have been told they won't.
