Two Systems required-Two Computers as well?

Post by baton999 »

Hi, all. I'm a dedicated Mosaic user who's trying to get my Finale feet wet. The 1st hurdle is: how do I manage two software programs, one requiring nothing more than OS 9.2.1 and the other nothing less than OS X. Is the answer two computers? A local techie suggested dividing one of the newer iMac hard drives and working with both OS like that. He also suggested buying a firewire hard drive with one of the OS installed and use that for one and the hard drive on the computer for the other. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for any advice, chastising, etc.

If I'm not mistaken none of the newer Apple computers can run OS9. I beleive the last Mac to be able to run OS9 was the dual boot G4.
