VEP 5 MAS version and DP Transport

Post by iyzwanzig »

Hi All! Hoping to get some clarification on a feature of vienna ensemble pro 5 MAS version. For some reason I can't get the transport control to work when vienna is the active window. My other DAWs have no issue but DP8 won't do it. I found some very old posts about this being an issue in the past….has anyone had luck resolving it?

thanks!

The only thing I can get to work is clicking play in VE Pro 5. The space-bar doesn't work within VE Pro. Hardly convenient. Anyone able to use the space-bar within VE Pro running outside of DP?

There's a new version out today. You could try that one.

Check the post I made earlier today here:

http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtop ... 83#p503683

It lists the fixes and the spacebar transport issue is listed as one of them.

Thanks James, That brings up a good point. I am still running VE as an AU (apologies that I didn't properly associate MAS in the thread title with that version of VE.) I got scared off the MAS version when I saw that VSL had pulled it but perhaps that's ancient news or this new version is the re-release - don't know.

In any case, I asked repeatedly at v.i. control if the MAS advantage is only gained by running it 'inside' DP and never got a straight answer. So I guess my two questions are: is it stable and working well now and is running it within DP the only way to take advantage of it? TIA
