Plugin display refresh rate?
It seems that a lot of my plugins have a "choppy" update of their display (for example UAD plugins). Some others (for example iZotope plugins) are fine. Is there any way to force a more frequent / higher priority display update for problematic plugins?

The link doesn't seem to point to a valid file?

Re: Plugin display refresh rate?
i'm curious what's behind this, as some do work fine, and others do not.

Re: Plugin display refresh rate?
This appears to happen with some VST plugins on both Mac and PC. E.g. a couple of the PSP Stereo plugins have a sluggish refresh. VST is new to DP, so no doubt there are some things to fix. Identifying specific plugins with this problem at MOTU Techlinks would be good.

Hmmm.... Isotope's RX 2 would not have prompted that remark -- it is a real resource hog with the GUI open. They did get a whole lot better with RX 3.etl17 wrote:It seems that a lot of my plugins have a "choppy" update of their display (for example UAD plugins). This leads me to believe that the plugin designer has more to do with the performance than DP.

Re: Plugin display refresh rate?
An update. I've had this issue in a big way with EQuilibrium and COMPassion. I reported via MOTU techlink, and they've replicated/confirmed as a bug...and passed along to dev.
Hopefully we'll see some sort of fix at some point.
Cheers,
Kell

Re: Plugin display refresh rate?
Anyone is aware if this is being addressed by the upcoming release 9?

Re: Plugin display refresh rate?
Since the problem hasn't been DP or MOTU plugins, I wouldn't hold my breath.
