Drag Soundbite To Create New Track Timestamp Question

Post by leigh »

I have a bunch of WAV files with their original timestamps set to 1:00:00:00 and their user timestamps set to 0:00:00:00.

When I drag them from the Soundbites window into the TO window to create new tracks, DP places them at 1:00:00:00.

Is there a way I can get DP to use the user timestamp instead of the original timestamp? Or, is there a batch way to change the original timestamps to 0:00:00:00?

Select the soundbite(s) in the Sequence Editor, then right-click and select the item marked "Time Stamp" > "Move to User Time Stamp."

Tritonemusic points to right clicking to access Contextual menu. These are available throughout DP and provide easy access to many functions depending where you cursor is located. These are often overlooked by DP users, but can be extremely helpful to your workflow.

Thanks for mentioning that, Frank. I should have been clearer. I, too, have a feeling not many people are taking advantage of this capability (at least, the people I've talked to).

I'd love to see it expanded in the future by letting the user pick and choose which items appear in the Contextual Menu.
