windows 10 preview
Has anyone tested the 424 card with Windows 10 preview yet? Might give it a go and see how it works.

Did they really skip Windows 9? I thought that was a joke.dustbro wrote:Has anyone tested the 424 card with Windows 10 preview yet? Might give it a go and see how it works.

No joke. It's the hot topic in the Sillie Con Valley where I live.Did they really skip Windows 9? I thought that was a joke.
Microsoft believes that too many would confuse it with Windows 95 and Windows 98.

Re: windows 10 preview
Hello all. New to the board. New to motu. Have wanted one of their interfaces since I saw the first 2408 advertised in the back of EM my senior year of high school. Fast forward today I am a Linux geek engineer self employed. and yes I support windows to.
And the good news is so does motu. I finally pulled the trigger and paid 225 shipped for a 2408 mk3 on epay. with the 424 pcix card. It worked great in my win 7 box. This morning I installed the developer preview of windows 10 x whatever they call it. When I was up and running with graphics drivers and all. I downloaded motu's whiz bang install any product driver thing off the website. and whola. it works completely. all sample rates all periods. ins and outs.
I did not have to install it in compatibility mode or anything special.
Like I said I am mainly a Linux guy and normally us 4 firepods chained together on arch Linux for my studio. But I have to say that after playing a few tracks through this thing and recording. I have a quad of presonus crap that will be on ebay tomorrow. Night and day difference to my ears. Yes I will still record in Linux. I already have netjack set up on win 10 to route the interfaces to other machines over my network.
whew. sorry but I am actually stoked over this old interface.
