Speed better w/ internal ATA vs. external firewire

Shall I invest in a second internal ATA for my G5 2.5? I heard that it is faster than external 7200rpm firewire drives. Also, is it best to run DP on the internal and have my files on other drives? Thanks.

It would be an internal SATA drive, and yes it is better than an external drive.

Run DP from your system drive, and your DP Projects from your second internal hard drive.
