Hi There,
Just two questions:
1. Is MachFive able to use the complete available RAM?
2. Is there a maximum size of soundbank (for example: a soundbank bigger than 2 GB)? I know MachFive is able to load the 8 GB MSI.dat file, but in thise case it doesn`t load it completely in the RAM
Thanks for answers
How much RAM can MachFive use, maximum Size of Soundbank?

Hi,
When you mean soundbank, I think you mean program.
Because just like MSI.dat file, soundbank are not loaded in RAM, just selected program.
M5 can load a program as big as a 32 bit system can handle which is 2Go.
Even on a G5, because no carbon application can use 64 bits so far. (apple limitation).
Hopefully, M5 handle streaming so you can have a bigger program than 2Go before reaching this limit depending on the preload size. In streaming, only the preload size is really loaded into RAM.
Same thing on PC.
Hope this helps.
