Deleting Templates
This is super easy I am sure but I can not figure out how to delete old templates in order to save more up to date ones. I am using DP 7.24 and mac version 10.9.4. Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Deleting Templates
If you use the same name for a new template as you have already used for an old template, DP will replace the old template.

You can delete them directly by going to /User/Library/Preferences/com.motu.DigitalPerformer/Document Templates.

The arrows might be new to Yosemite. I don't remember seeing them before either. Re: Deleting Templates
In Yosemite, you can get them by pressing ⌃⌘-spacebar in any text-ready window (Special Characters under the Edit menus). You get to choose from all kinds of neat stuff, such as cars, arrows, emoticons, signs, flows, animals, flags, etc.bayswater wrote:The arrows might be new to Yosemite. You can even set and select your favourites from a special window right there.

Or in keyboard preferences, you can have the character and keyboard viewers placed in the menu bar. Use that to bring up the Character Window, and you can drag items out of it into your document. ⫸⟫➧➤☛➸➽FMiguelez wrote:bayswater wrote: In Yosemite, you can get them by pressing ⌃⌘-spacebar in any text-ready window (Special Characters under the Edit menus). Re: Deleting Templates
They've always been available going back to System 4, perhaps earlier. My first Mac was the Mac+. Anyway, these were really easy to use through OS 9.
Does Yosemite make it easier to use these special characters? If so, that's cool.
I have font toolbars at the top of my screen for finding these things, copying and pasting. It's in the OS but I did it so many years ago, I have forgotten how I did it. You can also search Font Book but that's a pain so no one does it.

Re: Deleting Templates
No, as you say the character and keyboard viewers have been there forever. I think some of the characters are new though, and there are some new uses in the GUI.mikehalloran wrote:

OK. I'll have to check that out in my copious spare time.I think some of the characters are new though, and there are some new uses in the GUI.

I hadn't had my coffee yet and didn't see that you had already posted this. That's what I did years ago (10.4? 10.5?). Still works in Yosemite.
