No inputs from 1248 in logic after firmware 1.1 update
Been using 1248 with logic on Mac pro for a month. Updated firmware via their web control panel last night and now all inputs are gone or grayed out in logic and other programs. I have made no other changes. Has a setting changed that I have missed? Or did update screw something up? It said it successfully updated. Thx.
Re: No inputs from 1248 in logic after firmware 1.1 update
hi
Yes, I have the same issue. There is something wrong with the update. I tried to reinstall the firmware and driver with no success.
In the end I went back to the previous driver and firmware. All works great.
The old firmware can be downloaded from the link below:
http://www.motu.com/techsupport/technot ... changelog/
I couldn't find the older driver on the web, but was lucky I kept it on my HD.
If you need it I can upload it to Dropbox and post a link here. Just let me know
It's strange cos the new update works good with Ableton Live, but not with Logic.
hope it helps

A dropbox link would be great as I don't know if I still have the original firmware file. Thanks.
Re: No inputs from 1248 in logic after firmware 1.1 update
On my computer the 1.1 update did not show inputs on any program. However thanks to your tip I went back to the old version of the driver and the old firmware and everything works again. I got the driver from the MOTU tech support who said they had had no calls about problems with the firmware or driver... I wonder what the difference could be?
Re: No inputs from 1248 in logic after firmware 1.1 update
Hi there,
same problem here with Logic Pro X and 16A after upgrading the AVB driver to 1.0.2 and the 16A firmware to 1.1.0.
Reverting AVB driver to 1.0.1 makes inputs visible again. But then, the 16A doesn't show up anymore in the MOTU AVB Discovery application. And there seems to be no simple way to revert the firmware back to 1.0.1 as the MOTU AVB Discovery application only seems to show the newest available firmware update, no way to choose an older version...
I contacted MotU tech online support, answer expected next week.
Cheers,
Urs

This is the link for the older firmware versions of all MOTU interfaces.
Download it and then choose to open the file from MOTU discovery app.Point it to the file
you downloaded and it will install the firmware
hope it helps

Hmmmmm, no problems on two different systems here. With DP at least.

hi
The problem is with Logic and Main Stage.
I also checked it with Ableton Live and it works.
