Re: Mavericks & DP 7.24?
Yes, gave it a pretty good spin on a test drive, all seem OK. YMMMV, please proceed with caution.

Same here. No problems that I've found.

Re: Mavericks & DP 7.24?
I fired it up. With the exception of some Izotope plugs that no longer work in DP 7.24, I had no problems. I don't really use DP 7 anymore, however.
The Izotope issue is a 32bit DP issue, not Mavericks. For example, Ozone 5.03 and Alloy 2.01 work but Ozone 5.04 and Alloy 2.02 do not - they require DP 8 64bit.

Have look at the web site for Waves. They have just updated their compatibility information.Maxx wrote:Thanks guys

Re: Mavericks & DP 7.24?
I'm having big-time trouble. I launch a DP 7 project with Native Instruments (or, so far as I can tell, any other 3rd-party) plug-in and DP crashes.
Project built under OS 10.6.8; current OS 10.9.4. DP version 7.24
crash details: DP: "Digital Performer has encountered an error. MacOS error: File permissions error (-54)" click <OK>, then Finder: "Digital Performer quit unexpectedly."
I would appreciate any advice.

Re: Mavericks & DP 7.24?
The error message suggests that you repair permissions using Disk Utility, and make sure the files you are loading into DP can be both read and written by your account. You can use Get Info on the folders containing these files, and look at the read and write permissions near the bottom of the window. Set this so your account can do both, then tell it to apply the changes to the items inside these folders as well.
Also, make sure none of the volumes you use are NTFS formatted. Disk Utility or Get Info will tell you this.
Repairing permissions before and after updates helps to avoid this sort of problem.

If that suggestion doesn't fix it (usually does), there are others so let us know.

Re: Mavericks & DP 7.24?
Thanks very much for the advice.
I have repaired permissions on the volume where DP 7.24, Reaktor 5.9.0, and the Reaktor ensemble Prism.rkplr all reside.
And I have seen to it that all files involved feature me as owner and with Read & Write permission. These files are the DP project document Q_2 and relevant Reaktor ensembles and snapshots, including Prism.rkplr.
Now I launch Q_2, and the result is exactly as described heretofore: DP: file permissions error (-54); Finder: DP quit unexpectedly.
So something else is amiss. I mention again that Q_2 was created (and runs correctly) under OS X 10.6.8 on a MacPro1,1. The trouble comes under OS X 10.9.4 on a MacPro5,1.
Thanks again for thinking about this.

Re: Mavericks & DP 7.24?
I had some squirrelly behavior after updating to 19.9.4. Deleting the (User) ~/Library/Preferences/Digital Performer/Preferences file fixed it but I had to reset my preferences afterwards.
