I've notice for quite some time that the "Solo front-most MIDI edit window" option doesn't seem to work consistently. I frequently will have a MIDI edit window (MIDI event list) in the front-most position, and when I hit the SOLO button, some other track or tracks are soloed instead. Is there something obvious I'm missing?
Thanks.
Richard

Solo function not working as expected

Re: Solo function not working as expected
Hate to admit it, but I'm not too familiar with that feature. I always toggle solo mode with the keyboard shortcut and it seems to toggle between whatever tracks were last soloed and all play enabled tracks. I've gone into solo mode and then option clicked a play button for just that track. I wonder if when they say MIDI edit window they're assuming the MIDI Graphic Editing window. Probably not as many people work with the Event List as much and maybe that's why?

Re: Solo function not working as expected
Appreciate this discussion.
I knew that something had changed with maybe DP8 but as I'm working I just deal with it and don't try to troubleshoot.
In my case, it seems like I'll set up the tracks that I want to solo, do a little editing or viewing of different windows and then when I engage solo sometimes no tracks play and I have to go back and reset the solo buttons.
Maybe this is because I've inadvertently set (or didn't change) the option to solo the front window.
I'll look into it.
