how to use 828 mkII to play back MIDI

Post by supergoat22 »

I use a 828 mkII as my interface and I use the two main outs as my monitor sends. When I play back a song I'm working on I can't get my MIDI work to play back from the monitors, it only comes out my laptop speakers. I use DP 4.6. Any help???

sounds like you're using MIDI to trigger Quicktime instruments (eww..yuck). If you must do this, I would imagine quicktime is playing out whatever audio device you have your mac's main audio set to.
go to ~/system preferences/sound and set your mac to use the motu for output. Does that work?

Having the same problem with MIDI playback. Did you solve your problem? If so, please tell me how.
I'm using Roland Xp-60 and virtual instruments with DP 4.6
