Dear friends
I've searched in the forum but I didn't find any answer.
I do need to use the HDX hardware with DP 8.6 via Core Audio but I can't (like I instead previously and daily did with DP7.24 and PT HD Accel with no problems at all).
I can select the HDX Card as Audio Driver and clock source, but as soon as I close out of DP's Configure Hardware Driver page, Digital Performer tells it can't connect to HDX hw and crashes.
Is there anything I can do? Trashing some preferences?
I thank you in advance for your help
Ale

Re: Avid HDX as Audio Hardware in DP 8.6
I found a temporary solution:
1) Open first Avid CoreAudio Manager and let it opened in background
2) Run DP 8.6 and then choose HDX as Hardware Driver
3) DP now works with no problems at 64 or 32 bits as needed
4) I always have to open first CoreAudio Manager and then DP
Anyway, any definitive solution and/or hint will be more than appreciated.
TIA

I could be way wrong, but I thought MOTU dropped support for Avid hardware..or at least,
the Digi Engine.

I haven't tried DP 8 with the Avid Native PCIe card and HD 16x16 I/Os on Mavericks yet,
but DP 7.24 has run flawlessly on a Snow Leopard partition. The secret to get it running was
to do an install of PTHD 10 first, then install DP. This uses the Avid Core Audio driver. I'm
not sure how it translates to the HDX rig.
