Lost/disconnected audio files?

Post by Yawnstrosity »

I recently opened an old project for the first time in several years. Since I last opened it, I had moved all my files to a new external hard drive. Now DP (7.24) won't load the audio tracks. When I use the Mac Finder I can see that they are still there (and I can audio preview them), and they are still in the Soundbites list (X'ed out). But when I try to load them manually in DP they are greyed out and inaccessible. Is there any way I can get them loaded without having to start from scratch? Thanks for any help you might be able to provide.

Hi Roland .... sounds like it could a simple sample mismatch if they're X'd out (ie red X) Check the sample rate and if different from what DP is to, set either change DP's sample rate or convert the audio to the correct current rate. See the mini menu in the soundbites window for the "convert audio file" function. You might want to "create new file"s rather than overwrite the existing. Tick box is second from bottom in the "convert audio file" window

Cheers
