Hello ALL,
Now that I've been using MachFive for a while. I have to say that I not only LOVE it but it's made working with my existing sample library a breeze to convert. HOWEVER, I would like MOTU to work on MachFive's ability to Globally set the loop type for all the samples in a preset.
I was converting my NI Battery Drums over to MachFive. After placing the (Velocity) samples on their notes according to the General MIDI note mapping for Drums, I attempted to a select all and have all the the samples (152 of them) assigned to "One Shot" loop type. But the loop type selector was unavailable.
It would be nice to have this ability on Version 2.
Thanks for reading.

I liked the easy of use that Battery offered. However, I LOVE the fact that MachFive is so veratile and loads/converts most sample formats. I mostly used Battery for HipHop Production because I could built a kit fast. I've now found I can do the same with M5.Akai96 wrote:Is Battery better for drums than Machfive,or vice versa??
At the present time. I did not upgrade from Battery 1.01 to 2.0. I am using the "Drag & Drop" feature of M5 to built my kits.

Yeah, I'd say it's about the same. The only reason why the Battery Drums (mainly kicks & snares) sound so BEFFY in the Battery interface is because they would layer 10 kick drums all with velocity switching to achieve a thick sound. I've learned that 1-2 different kicks eq'd with marginal frequency changes can acheive the same effect.Akai96 wrote:DO The beats Still feel as good?
When I stack them by velocity, I get the same result.
