Unable to input MIDI notes
I'm probably missing something obvious, but all of a sudden I'm unable to input any MIDI notes, either by recording from my S90, step input or by using the pencil tool. Everything was fine earlier today and I can't think of anything that could have triggered the change. I've tried rebooting, and also inputting into Cubase (which worked fine), but still no luck. I've been finishing some work in Cubase recently, so have got a little rusty on DP, but can anyone help please?

Re: Unable to input MIDI notes
It may be the View filter or Input filter. From what you're describing about not being able to pencil in notes, I would think the View filter. Go in there and turn on Notes.

Re: Unable to input MIDI notes
IF you accidentally hit CMD-f (which normal programs use for find but DP uses as the default for the View Filter - duh!) it's easy to have all your data "go missing." You can hear it, but you can't see it.
I maintain it's a MOTU easter egg kind of thing to keep tech support in business once ALL the bugs are worked out. But I could be wrong about that.

Ah, thanks - so easy. Now I remember, I had been experimenting with the search function so could well have hit cmd+f by mistake.
Still, good to be using DP again

Doesn't this qualify as a sticky at the top of the Troubleshooting forum?

Re: Unable to input MIDI notes
The upside for me was that the random notes I entered while trying to figure out what was wrong made for a more interesting piece. Perhaps this could lead to a new way of composing music
