automation problem w/ dp 4.6

I have recently installed dp 4.6 and its working fine
except, I've just encountered a problem when i attempt
to edit the automation on any particular effect in the
sequence window. Its a little weird, as it allows me
to edit volume + pan automation. but when I attempt
to edit effects automation everythings greyed out and
i cant see automation events happen eventhough I can
hear them happen. Am I missing an extra step here? I
wasn't having this problem in 4.5. So if somebody out
there could navigate me thru this little dilemma I
would be very thankful

I could be way off, but might this have anything to do with the View Filter? Manual pg 432. If not, oh well...

Or try Page 691 if that doesn't work. I suspect that page holds the answer.
