DP8 & EWQL Symphonic Orchestra

Post by Westlyn »

I'm not new at this, but I've found the EastWest product tough to deal with. I bought a sample library from one of their competitors (to go unnamed)and had it working well in ten minutes. The learning curve on EWQL seems to run pretty high.
If I try to point an instrument to the library I've got loaded into the "programs/vstplugins" folder, it's listed, but marked "missing". A little help.
Thanks in advance.

I'm not gonna be much help here, but is this the version that requires their Play engine and not Kontakt?

I have EWQLSO Gold (which I just use now and then) but it runs fine under Kontakt 5.2 on a Snow Leopard OSX (10.6.8).

Thanks Buzz for stepping up.

I've got the latest PLAY in place, my iLok is synced and connected, and I've backtracked through the steps suggested, but the "missing" message persists.
I've also reached out to tech support at EastWest a couple of times, and those guys are sincere I think, but we haven't touched on the solution yet.
I'm hoping I'll still get lucky here.
