Lock track not working?

When I click the lock track icon the tracks aren't locked and I can still move them. Am I missing something? Is there a preference for locking tracks?

See the manual p 112 to see what Lock does. Probably not what you think it does.

There is a workaround I saw on this forum to get a similar track loking, just change the view of the track(s) into Volume or any other different tan Soundbite, then you restrict the movement/edit of soundbites on that track. If you Alt+change the track view, all tracks change into the requested view. Once you get used to it, it works.
