DP Exhibiting Odd Behavior

Post by mpeluso »

Hello all. Having a weird issue here. I'm running DP 8.05 with Stylus (up to date, can't recall the version number as of now) and using VE Pro (ver. 5.1.12684) to host samples inside Kontakt 5.3 in two external Mac Pro's. The issue that seems to keep occurring is a random overhang of a few patches in one of the external Mac Pro's, and Stylus will randomly start up where there is no MIDI data (mostly happens at the beginning of a chunk). I don't believe this is a VE Pro issue, nor do I think Stylus is suspect, as this setup has been extremely solid for months now. Anyone have a similar experience with this setup? Any help would be very much appreciated!

Well I've discovered there is a bug with DP 8.05 where you have to leave the Stylus GUI open underneath DP or it will trigger wildly. Can't figure out the other goings on.

I have noticed with OS 10.8.5 (and even Snow Leopard) and DP 7.4.. that you need to keep VI windows open (or collapsed in dock) in order to have them react to volume changes in the mixer.
Has this been addressed in DP 8 or same issue?

I've only experienced it with Stylus. Then again, that's the only VI that I use inside of DP.
