I spent a lot of time trying to convert some Kontakt 2 files also. Found out that UVI Xtract is actually CDxtract, so I downloaded their demo and it can't handle Kontakt 2 files yet going to any format. (thus probably why Mach Five can't either!)
Also, tried the demo from Chicken Systems translator and no luck. On their website it says you can convert Kontakt to Mach Five. After banging my head for hours trying to figure it out I searched their forums and found that Kontakt 2 files are not yet supported. (it would be nice if they put that disclamer on their website)
Apparently Kontakt 2 files are different from Kontakt. I have found no way to convert Kontakt 2 libraries into any other format, not just Mach Five. If I'm wrong someone please let me know.

What is the benefit of running Mach 5 if you already have K2? Can you load more sounds or tweak them? I would end up doing conversions as well is my point.
Thanks

I don't want to run both K2 and M5 simultaneoulsy because of the system drain. I often find that I want to use sounds from both at the same time. Personally, I much prefer the M5 interface, easier to assign MIDI channels and audio routing in my opinion. In K2 if I assign an instrument's MIDI channel and audio output then want to change the preset and try some different sounds, it resets to defaults every time. Then I have to change routing over and over.
Anyway, if I could get K2 (i.e. the Colossus library) sounds into M5 I would be a very happy camper.

same problems here... made me nuts... then finally i just built a few instruments in mach five that used some samples from K2 kits...
i really havent found anything in mach five to be of much interest anyways... i think the library is relatively bland... i use K2 for more creative experiences... love the scripts, especially chord generator
