DP 8.05 installed and suddenly all sequences run slow
Anyone run into this problem after installing 8.05 (from 8.04)...loaded my test sequence up which had worked perfectly fine minutes before (when running 8.04) and suddenly the tempo of the sequence and the audio and the movie (everything) is running at roughly half the original tempo (imagine when you see a movie and everything is s-l-o-w-e-d---d-o-w-n. it's just like that). And the CPU meter is redlining non stop and the audio is completely distorted too. I didn't change anything else, other than the version of DP. Everything appears (visually in the sequence settings) to be normal but clearly something is amiss. I trashed version 8.05 and reinstalled 8.04 and all appears to be back to normal. Not sure what my signature says, but I'm running 10.6.8 with a Mac Pro 3,1 8 core. Been doing this a long long time and have used DP since 1989 so if you post something like "try trashing your preferences" or "repair your permissions" that won't help a lot. I'd say maybe it was a sample rate problem except that everything (all the settings) looked just fine and the 2408 everything runs through indicated the correct settings. Also everything is word clocked and nothing changed there. I also did a couple of complete restarts and that didn't help. If anyone else out there has actually experienced this please let me know. If you've figured out a solution--even better.
