Dear Forum,
I got a MicroBoook II yesterday, and finally managed to get the mic input through my phones.
Considering this was an upgrade from other equipment, I thought the MicroBook II would be quieter than -86Db with mic 48v off.
Looking at my DAW (Sonar X3), there is -86 DB of noise coming from the unit, which is surprisingly high for studio grade equipment.
CLICKS
Whenever there is sound from my Windows system (Win 7 Pro, 64-bit), there is a horrible click in the left channel. So every time an e-mail comes in, there is that nasty click before the notification sound.
USB and DSP effects
Regardless of whether I apply EQ to the mic input or the output, I only hear raw audio in my DAW. Anyone know how I can get all effects routed to USB?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks all,
Lee.

Re: MicroBook II - clicks, noise floor, and USB output
Right,
I figured out that I need to use 'MICROBOOK ASIO RETURN 1-2' as the input source in my DAW for the DSP effects to be sent to it.
I set the trim for my mic, and then pulled down the fader in the CueMixFX mixer, but that didn't change anything, other than reduce my phones level.
So, getting there.
